IGF-1 Lozenges
Do you wish you could still run around the yard with your grandkids? How about those days when you use to go fly fishing for an entire weekend with you pals, do you miss those?
Well if you’re sick of the aches and pains that come with old age, there is a new HGH-supplement available today called IGF-1 Lozenges that can get you back on your feet and enjoying the things you use to do.
This “anti-aging” product claims to be a modern-day “fountain of youth” through its ability to increase IGF-1 levels which often become deficient with age.
In this review, we’ll give you a brief tour of IGF-1 Lozengues, tell you about its ingredients, and inform you about a special power that it possesses. So sit back, relax, and turn your brain on so that you can grasp all this info we’re about to give you.
What on Earth is IGF-1?
Right now, you’re probably wondering what IGF-1 is. Don’t worry if you’ve never heard this acronym before, because most people haven’t.
It stands for Insulin-like Growth Factor, and is a hormone which is actually produced in the liver through the combination of HGH (Human Growth Hormone) and insulin.
Similar to HGH, IGF-1 is also known as an “anti-aging” hormone because of its ability to:
•Promote healthy immune systems.
•Increase energy levels.
•Decrease body fat and fat cells while enhancing our bodies fat burning potential.
•Promote healthy hair and skin.
•And more…
As you can tell, HGH and IGF-1 are truly brothers in arms when it comes to their ability to stave off the symptoms of old age.
But much like HGH, and since IGF-1 is a byproduct of HGH itself, IGF-1 levels tend to taper off as a body gets older and older. This phenomenon is one of the many reasons our health starts to deteriorate as we get older.
What IGF-1 Lozenges Does For You
In an effort to battle these HGH and IGF-1 deficiencies that tend to occur with age, scientists have been able to develop artificial and synthetic copies of both of these hormones.
When injected or stored in pill form, these artificial prototypes have the ability to raise deficient HGH and IGF-1 levels back to normal levels.
Basically, this is the function that IGF-1 Lozenges claims to perform. In its blend, this HGH supplement actually contains artificial IGF-1 as well as another ingredient that contains traces of IGF-1, deer antler velvet extract.
By combining the powers of both of these main ingredients, NOW Foods claims to have created a product that can have you feeling healthier than ever before as long as you take just one serving of it per day.
That Said…
Before you rush out of your door to purchase a bottle of IGF-1 Lozenges, we should warn you about one major kink in its armor.
You see, proven ingredients are only effective if they are found in what we call, proven amounts. A proven amount normally equates to 100mg per serving. Of course, this number can fluctuate depending on the serving size.
But for the most part, an ingredient should have a dosage level of at least 50mg per serving.
Well, this is not the case with both of the primary ingredients found in IGF-1 Lozenges blend. Rather, the artificial IGF-1 found in this supplement only contains a dosage amount of 82.5 nanograms per serving!
If you’re not much of a math-whiz, a nanogram is much, much smaller than a milligram (mg). To put this into perspective, a nanogram is only one-billionth of a gram. And while a milligram is very small as well – about one-thousandth of a gram – the difference is still very significant.
So this begs the question, how much potency and effectiveness can you get out of 82.5ng? We’re no experts on the issue but our common sense tells us that you won’t get much.
On top of that, the other primary ingredient found in this product’s blend, deer antler velvet extract, only contains a dosage level of 33mg per serving. This is also well under the 50mg minimum that we’ve established.
Now, NOW Foods promises that their product has been clinically tested for both effectiveness and safety. And while it probably is a safe option, we’ve concluded that it probably isn’t an effective option due to its ingredients that come in unproven amounts.
On a Lighter Note…
Luckily, IGF-1 Lozenges does come with one major perk, which helps to counteract its downfall to a certain degree.
This major perk comes in the form of what is called “new liposome technology.” This technology essentially cuts the absorption rate of a dietary supplement in half by allowing the orally-taken pill to bypass the digestive tract and go straight into the bloodstream.
And what does that all mean? It means that a dietary pill (such as IGF-1 Lozenges) is going to make it into the blood stream without losing part of its package to our body’s digestive tracts – meaning that it keeps its full potency potential intact as well.
Thankfully, this new technology was included by NOW Foods in this product, because 82.5ng probably wouldn’t last long otherwise.
Decision Time
That brings us to the end of this review, and to the point where we have to make a decision on IGF-1 Lozenges.
So here’s the deal, if we were the consumer, we would most likely pass on this HGH supplement. Its effectiveness is just too unstable for us to place our money and health into its hands.
That being said, IGF-1 Lozenges is not a completely useless product, but we just can’t see it consistently performing at a high enough level to be effective for users in the long-term.
There are plenty of better options, so find them before you consider taking your chances with IGF-1 Lozenges.
